Crystals & Colours
Since the time of COVID, a lot of us are finding ourselves working from home and having to create a space in our home environment to become a working environment, and that can have repercussions on the energy in the home.
There are certain crystals that you can have on your desk area that will keep you grounded and focused. If you have an area that is your own for your office you can create a space using colour, which is conducive to a good working environment and sometimes this can change as well.
For example my office in my previous home, I had the walls very blue and that’s a colour for communication. However, in my new home, the energy is completely different with my office being very close to family rooms. Here I needed to create an environment where I felt comfortable and light.
In my new office space, my furniture is white, creating an area of clarity and it also allows light to bounce around the room. If you have a small office, using white furniture or even white walls will give a bounce of light, which we do need if we’re going to be sitting at a desk for hours at a time.
I’ve added pink with a chair with some pink in its design. I’ve got some accessories on my desk that are pink also and I have clear quartz and rose quartz additionally to my ‘work’ crystals on my desk.
Crystals On My Desk:
The first one is Citrine as it projects and promotes abundance, manifestation and positive energy. As you start your working day, find a quiet moment at your desk and hold the Citrine crystal in your hand and take a few breaths to centre yourself, clear your mind and as you hold the crystal focus on your intentions and goals for the day and consider both your short term and long term aspirations.
You could then take a pen and paper out and write your intentions for the day out because this will give you the focus and especially those of us that are working at home.
Pyrite crystal that’s very good, especially for those of us who are self-employed. It’s also known as Fool’s Gold and has the appearance of gold and it has a reputation for attracting wealth and abundance so if you incorporate this into your office or workspace, Pyrite can serve as a powerful ally again, promoting motivation, willpower, and success.
The Pyrite is also called the Warrior Stone so that’s warrior as in power and that can help strengthen your determination and your drive and it gives action towards your goals and perseverance, especially in challenging times.
Smokey Quartz is very good for grounding and for protection. So, when life becomes a bit overwhelming and you feel scattered or stressed, Smokey Quartz can help bring balance and clarity to your mind. This is very good when you might feel overwhelmed by something that’s going on at work.
Gold Tiger’s Eye crystal for the desk is very good for boosting confidence, and it instils courage. Its energetic properties are what make it very special so if you’re faced with shyness or challenging, Gold Tiger’s Eye can provide a sense of empowerment and inner strength, so it encourages you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace your experiences with confidence.
Another crystal that is very good is Amazonite. Now Amazonite is a true power stone. It’s really good when you’re communicating as a leader and will help you communicate from the heart. It’s a really valuable tool for improving communication and fostering effective leadership.
Finally Clear Quartz which will enhance the energy of all of the other crystals. It’s a really good crystal to almost use to download your day and let the crystal take it. To do this you would put the crystal into your left hand and just feel the energy there. Just feel that energy and then release it and a nice little ritual is to wash the crystal afterwards. But this has got to be a tumbled clear quartz or it could dissolve on you!.
A Guide To Office Colours:
Greens and Pinks – these colours are associated with the heart. Having these colours around your environment will bring a lightness to your energy. Pink is known for its soothing and calming effects. It can create a sense of tranquillity, peace, and relaxation. It is often used in spaces intended for relaxation and stress relief.

Yellow is often associated with positivity, happiness, and energy. Yellow is linked to intellect, mental clarity, and logical thinking. It can stimulate the mind, enhance focus, and promote clear decision-making. Yellow is a colour that can draw attention and stimulate mental activity. It can be used to highlight important information or objects.
Red is associated with energy, passion, strength, and vitality and evokes a sense of energy and movement. It can inspire action, motivation, and determination. It can represent assertiveness, confidence, and leadership qualities.
Your Office Space ‘At’ Work:
If you have an office at home and at a workplace, do take your crystals from your home office or have another set at the work office because you need to keep both energies really clear, focused and clean. If you are somebody that just works in a workplace environment and there’s a lot of other people around, clear quartz is definitely a winner because it will really take on board any of energy that’s coming at you, smokey quartz also will dispel negativity, so that will absorb and then dispel that for you. It’s a very, very good crystal.
When we work in an office that’s owned by somebody else or a corporation, wherever you may work, you probably won’t have the ability to change the structured work environment or the colour scheme so crystals help to bring that space into your own energy, your own aura.
You can add your colours in other ways such as carrying a pencil case, if you have a wallet, a little pot plant, or even a picture frame, allowing you to have some of ‘your’ colours to be present around you.
With crystals, pay attention about their properties and hold them tightly when you need support or inspiration. Take a breath and focus your energy on them and those crystals will help you have a positive and productive working day.
I’d love to know which crystals you use do share by leaving a comment below….
